The Winnefox Library System Materials Collection of Audiovisual Equipment consists of three component parts:

I. Permanent Deposit Collection

This collection includes various pieces of AV equipment which are deposited upon request in member libraries on long-term loan. This equipment is to be used for library programming in the library or by library staff outside the library. The equipment is not to be loaned, and should be stored in a secure location. WLS will train library staff in the proper use of all equipment deposited. The equipment is placed on the System maintenance program of regular cleaning and inspection.

At the time of deposit, one replacement lamp is provided; there-after, lamps will be supplied by the member library. For convenience, the System will hold a supply of replacement lamps which may be drawn upon.

II. Rotating Collection

This collection includes various pieces of AV equipment which may be requested to fill specific programming needs. This equipment is to be used for library programming in the library, or by a library staff member outside the library. The equipment is not to be loaned, and should be stored in a secure location when not in use. Reservations should be made with the Media Specialist as far in advance as possible. Reservations are filled on a first come, first served basis.

The collection includes: 16mm projectors, carousel slide projectors, sound filmstrip projectors, sound filmstrip viewers, record players, microfilm reader, 8mm projectors, overhead projector, screens, TDD's (telecommunication devices for the deaf), equipment engraver, and 35 mm camera.
