For Preparing Deliveries to Winnefox Libraries

WLS Transfer Slips:

When to use the WLS Transfer slips:

  • When sending materials to a non-automated Winnefox library

When not to use the WLS Transfer slips:

  • when returning ILL materials from Winnefox libraries that have blue date due cards

Here's what a WLS transfer slip looks like.

To order more WLS transfer slips, go to our Order Form for Labels/Slips.

Pink SCLS Courier Labels:

Use these whenever you're sending items to libraries that are not members of Winnefox.

See our Tip Sheet for Preparing Interlibrary Loan Materials for Delivery to Libraries Outside of Winnefox for details.

Here's what a SCLS courier label looks like.

To order more SCLS Courier Labels, go to our Order Form for Labels/Slips.

WALS routing flags:

Libraries that are part of the WALS online circulation system use routing flags to label WALS members' materials and reserves.

  • Put a flag with all materials.
  • Please do not rubber band items and use one flag, as these can separate in the box and cannot be sorted properly.
  • Have a separate delivery box for materials flagged for Oshkosh.
  • All other flagged materials go in a Winnefox-labeled delivery box.

Here's what a WALS routing flag looks like.

To order more WALS routing flags, go to our Order Form for Labels/Slips.

Winnefox Rotating Collections:

  • Large print
  • Books on cassette
  • Children's cassette/books

Blue cards from Winnefox rotating collections should go in the card pockets of all collections, except children's cassette/books.

For children's cassette/books, put the blue cards inside the plastic carrier. Please put Winnefox rotating collections on the bottom of the delivery boxes.

  • Video cassettes
  • WLS Audio Book Circuit

Please pack these materials in the corresponding numbered boxes that are provided. These collections are delivered to another library on the route, so please have all the materials ready to rotate according to your schedule.

For questions about the rotating collections contact WCTS at 920-361-1916.

WCTS Materials:

For WCTS materials use the teal WCTS bags. If you have more items than will fit in a teal WCTS bag but not enough to fill a delivery box, please be sure to securely rubber band or package bundles with a label so they may be properly sorted.

Labeling red delivery boxes:

Please be sure to label the delivery boxes with a card or flag in the pocket. All deliveries leaving Winnefox have a white card in the pocket with the library name printed on one side, on the other side it has "Winnefox" printed. This way you can use that card to label delivery boxes you are returning to Winnefox. If you have a delivery box full of WCTS materials, please be sure to label it for WCTS.

When to leave materials on top of delivery boxes:

If you are sending materials to a library that is on your delivery route for that day and it comes after your library on the delivery schedule, please put those items clearly labeled on the top of the delivery box. Please consult the WLS delivery schedule for current route information.
