Winnefox Electronic Resources, now available through your library's web site, helps to provide residents new reliable resources from the convenience of the nearest computer — paid for by state system aids through Winnefox. Database resources include:

  • Very few libraries could afford to pay on their own for access to these databases.
EBSCO eBook Collection — Handy for homework, after-hours reference work
  • Overdrive — Downloadable audiobooks, electronic books, music and video for your PC, Mac or compatible portable device
  • WorldCat — Catalog of materials owned by more than 9,000 worldwide member libraries

With a total annual subscription price of more than $40,000 for these electronic resources, very few libraries could afford to offer these resources. Winnefox purchases such items on behalf of member libraries at a tremendous cost savings to the libraries.

Electronic Services staff provides member libraries extensive support in the following areas:

  • Purchasing electronic services and providing training to member library staff in their use.
  • Web site design and training for member libraries that wish to maintain their own web sites.
  • Developing and maintaining the System's Extranet.
  • Developing local custom electronic resources for Winnefox member libraries.
